Jeff MacDonald, Costa Mesa, California, USA.

Jeff received his Master of Teaching in 2004 from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Admin/ Finance, California State University, Fullerton in 1989. Jeff is on KIA’s administrative team and serves as the Elementary Principal.

Sally Wan (Wu), Hong Kong.

Sally got her teacher certificate from Hong Kong University in 1999. She works for the elementary office.

Elementary Teaching Staff

Jane Alexander, Chinese/British.

Mrs. Alexander is a 2000 graduate of London Montessori Centre International (College). She teaches Pre-K.

Jean Bannen, Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA.

Carroll University…elementary education and early childhood education, 1968 and 1995. University of Wisconsin Milwaukee early childhood special education post bac…2001. Jean has over 30 years of teaching experience in public schools and at a children’s hospital facility for children with special needs. This is her 9th year of teaching at KIA.

David Cronk, Pasadena, California, USA.

Mr. Cronk graduated from Westmont College in 1985 with a B.A. in English. He has an M.A in Intercultural studies and an M.A. in TESOL. He teaches 4th grade.

Bo Hong, Fullerton, California, USA.

She received Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from California State University, Long Beach in 1994. Bo taught for 3 years in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She is a 3rd grade elementary teacher.

Tabitha Huteson, USA and Taiwan.

Miss Huteson is a recent KIA graduate, and is working as teacher’s assistant in Junior Kindergarten

Ruth Lam, South Pasadena, California, USA.

Ruth has a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Biola University) and a Master’s degree in Teaching English As A Second Language (University of Southern California). She coordinates the Elementary Mandarin Program and teaches the First Grade ELD class.

Jennifer Li, Kunming, Yunnan, China.

Mrs. Li graduated from YunNan University in 2003. She is teacher’s assistance for Grade 5 and Chinese teacher for elementary.

Grace Li, Luquan, Tuanjie, China.

Grace just finished her undergraduate this year and received her bachelor’s degree. She is a TA for grade 4, and teaches 3,4 and 5 grade Chinese.

Jessie Ma, Yunnan, China. Immigrated to Canada in 1999.

Mrs. Ma graduated from Huazhong University of Science & Technology and she teaches Chinese and helps in the 3rd grade as a TA.

Camille Papon, New Jersey, USA and France.

Miss Papon received a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas in 2004 and a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2010. She teaches 1st grade.

Wendy, Peng, Chuxiong City, Yunnan Province, China.

A 2008 graduate of Yunnan Minorities University, Wendy is a teacher assistant for the 3rd grade.

Ken Pye, Bradenton, Florida, USA.

Graduated from Philadelphia College of Bible in 1973 with B.S. in Bible/Christian Education and from Glassboro State College in 1980 with a M.A. in Elementary Education. Teaching fifth grade; 39 years teaching experience. Enjoys working with puppets.

Trina Settle, East Hampstead, NH.

Mrs. Settle is a 1996 graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. She is a teaching assistant in the 1st grade class.

Jessica Shoe, Delray Beach, Florida, USA.

Miss Shoe graduated from Florida State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She currently is teaching 2nd grade.

Angela Wang, Kunming, China.

Mrs. Wang is a 2009 graduate of East China Normal University. She is the teacher assistant in 1st grade.

Vivian Yang, Yunnan, Dali.

Miss Yang was graduate from Dali University in 2007. She is a kindergarten teacher assistant at KIA.

Vela Yu (Yu Fan), Kunming, Yunnan Province.

Ms. Yu, English major, graduated Yunnan University. She works as 3rd grade teacher’s assistant.
