2008-2009 Tuition – ¥ 64,500 RMB/year
Application Fee – ¥ 1,500 RMB (one time, non-refundable, for all new students, due with application)
Capital Fee – ¥ 25,000 RMB per family (one time, non-refundable, for all new families, due at time of enrollment)
Payment Schedule:
Re-enrollment Deposit – Prior to March 31st
Payment #1 – due 21 July, 2008, 50%
Payment #2 – due 11 Dec, 2008, 50%
NOTE: Payments may be made in RMB at KIA or in USD through OASIS in the U.S.
Financial Policies for 2008-2009
Financial Aid:
A deduction of up to 45% is allowed for qualifying NGO families. A limited amount of need based financial aid is also available for those who qualify. In either case, the corresponding financial aid application must be submitted to the board for consideration.
Re-enrollment:
Current KIA families will have the first opportunity to reserve a class spot for the coming school year during Priority Re-enrollment prior to 31 March. This will require a ¥ 2,000 RMB non-refundable down payment per student which will be applied to the following year’s tuition. Then siblings of current students will be considered prior to new families being accepted in April. After 1 April new students will be processed for admission according to the waiting lists. Current students cannot be guaranteed a place after 31 March.
Late Payments:
Any payment schedule that differs from the above schedule must be approved by the Director in writing.
A 2% late fee will be added to any payment that is past due, and an additional 2% will be added per month thereafter.
If a student has an outstanding balance at the end of the school year, the final report card will not be released until the bill is paid.
A student with an outstanding balance will not be permitted to re-enroll for the new school year until the past due bill is paid.
Partial Year Fees:
Students who enroll during the school year will be charged on the following basis:
Those enrolling at a quarter break will be charged the corresponding percentage of the tuition remaining for the year.
Those enrolling during a quarter will be charged for the remainder of the year on a prorated basis per week.
Full application and capital fees are applicable at all times.
Refunds:
No refunds will be made for application fee, capital fee or re-enrollment deposits.
Tuition refund will only be made for students permanently moving out of
Tuition will not be refunded for any quarter in which the student is enrolled (i.e. if a student leaves in February, only tuition for the fourth quarter will be refunded).
